I'VE SEEN!
I've seen those who live in big houses, they have every luxury but still they have no peace and happiness.
I've seen them argue, I've seen their marriages break. I've seen their children who are too scared and upset to speak but their eyes tell of their pain and suffering.
I've seen them unable to sleep at night, even though they have all the wealth they need.
I've seen them drive around in lush cars, looking down at those who have less wealth than them.
Like the mad man who walks the streets, putting useless papers into his pocket from the floor, thinking that it has some value. In the same way these people amass wealth.
Then the sweet words of My Guru come to my mind!
No peace or happiness can be found by amassing endless amounts of wealth.
No peace or happiness can be found by watching different types of films, dramas or serials.
No peace or happiness can be found even ruling multiple countries.
All peace and happiness is found through singing Vaheguroo's praises (Guru Arjan Dev Ji 1147)
I think of those who appreciate every tiny blessing, their houses look like shacks yet inside their walls are paved in gold. The house of their body and radiant faces shine forth in the great love and remembrance of Gods name.
Guru Arjun Dev Ji Says, "Where the Naam, the Name of God, the Beloved is chanted.
Those barren places become mansions of gold.
Where the Naam, the Name of my Lord of the Universe is not chanted-those towns are like the barren wilderness.
One who meditates as he eats dry bread,
sees the Blessed Lord inwardly and outwardly.
Know this well, that one who eats and eats while practicing evil, is like a field of poisonous plants."
